Online appointments for foreign permanent residents

A portal news item updated on 2024-01-10 says, citing the official WeChat account of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, that the mini program named 广州健康通 has added the Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card as one of the valid documents. It says expats with this document can now make online medical appointments.

The item lists the route. You follow the official WeChat account or the mini program, log in to an account and choose "外国人永久居留身份证" (Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card) from the list of valid documents. You then fill in the required information to complete the account registration.

After creating an account, the item says, you click "预约挂号" or "当天挂号" to choose a hospital, department and doctor for your appointment. It says you will need to pay the registration fee.
